Exposé on the Greek Olympics: Where have all the stray animals gone?

Join us for an international conversation about the plight of animals in Greece. First we will speak with Dianne Aldan about her work with the Greek Animal Rescue (Canada), which is part of the larger UK registered charity by the same name. We’ll find out what the Olympics has to do with the treatment of strays in Athens, how many animals have been harmed throughout Greece, why and how strays are being targeted, as well as what you can do to help. We will also be joined later in the hour by Lena Leahy from Aesop’s Friends of the Animals who will share with us about her organizing and rescue efforts outside of Athens. She will tell us about how the animals are treated in rural areas and throughout Greece, as unfortunately this issue is not confined to the Athens region but similar campaigns have been waged against animals elsewhere in the country.
