And ever wonder what the animal rights and vegetarian movements are like in Brazil? Well, we did. So we’ve invited the very impressive, very knowledgeable Marly Winckler on the program to fill us in. Lauren: “I can’t restrain my enthusiasm for this show or my deep respect for this amazing lady. Hey, this isn’t CNN! At least we admit our biases on this program…”

Bio: Marly Winckler is a sociologist and translator from Brazil. Vegetarian since 1982 and vegan since 1994, Winckler is the author of Fundamentals of Vegetarianism and Vegetarianism: Elements to a conversation.
